I wish to File a PIL Too...

With the recent spurt of PIL's (Public Interest Litigations) against "Indecent and Objectionable Acts" by figures of Prominence or In consequence in the Indian Society, it seems that we are going backwards in Time..

People have the time, energy and resources to file such PIL's when the courts are full beyond for years on end with Legitimate cases pending, while important issues such state of our roads, Healthcare, Infrastructure and most of all corruption which can be taken up...being ignored. No doubt there are people doing the same as well, but they are not covered by the Media.

Of Course they dont make interesting and Spicy Headlines... but are definitely more important than the utter waste of Time. Where have we Indians come...

Just recently one Particular state is planning to not allow women to work after 8, sparring a few sectors... what kind of thinking is this.. if you cant control the crime ... dont let the worst effected people out. Would this be similar to what the British Raj did...

My whole point is.....In case you cant do something productive, why do something which is unproductive... and any more 24 hour news channels should be banned... they go on non stop without thinking 2wice on what repurcussions might take place on their reporting. Especially late night, they are covering crimes against women.. and show such gory details, which mind you is repeated a 100 times... just to sensationalize the news. Where have all the culture Vultures gone now. Just a kiss or a small amount of indecency is not allowed on any media, and here baring the actual visuals... the poor victim is victimized again by showing their story in such bad light.

Hope somebody can put some sense in our Culture Vultures.

Do you think Indians should be allowed to Decide themselves whether there should be Censorship of any Kind... whether in The Indian Cinema.... or On TV..... or as per the Latest events by Police rounding up couples for just being what they are "couples....."

I'm of the opinion that the kind of changes that are required are not going to evolve but would be more of a revolution. The government and the moral police will continue with their atrocities and the helpless public will eventually be oppressed to such an extent that there would be a revolution something like the Hippie and free sex revolution of the 60's...

This thought is still an incomplete one and needs more finishing... which I hope to get around to doing soon....
